24 Hour Project in Tokyo (2019)
Starting at midnight on May 25, 2019 (15:00 GMT on May 24), I joined the 24 Hour Project, an initiative which brought together 4850 emerging photographers, aspiring photojournalists and visual storytellers from 826 cities and 100 countries around the world to document the human condition. This year’s focus was on women stories to support Women’s Human Rights.
For 24 hours, I hit the streets of Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵, shot what piqued my curiosity, edited on the fly and shared a photograph per hour. I present here the outcome of this amazing photographic adventure.
The project also sought to raise funds for a small number of NGOs aiming to empower village women, namely @atena_ngo (Iran), @ges_mujer (Mexico), @she_has_hope (Uganda) and @sacredvalleyhealth (Perù).
