While living in Japan, I had set out to work on a photo project inspired by the country's declining demographics, imagining that one day, there would be no one left on Japanese soil.

I never managed to finish this project, but now that the world is facing a pandemic of an unprecedented scale in recent history, I feel compelled to publish this unfinished series. This is obviously a work of fiction and by no means do I wish to scare people out or suggest that the end of the world is near. That said, it conveys the negative emotions - and the fear - that this whole situation is causing me and which I need to get off my chest...
